PLAVEO® Flow

Gantt-based network planning directly on SAP® PS. Visual, dynamic, precise - and still entirely within standard. Network plans finally become tangible.

Features

Plan like on paper. Post like in SAP.

01
Drag & drop
Move activities with the mouse, stretch durations, let dependencies follow live.
02
Critical path
Automatically computed and highlighted. See the impact of changes in real time.
03
Baselines & variants
Compare plan states. Play out scenarios before they become binding.
04
Clean-core
No shadow logic. The Gantt is a reading of standard network-plan data.
Why Plaveo® Flow?

Three extensions Plaveo® Flow brings to SAP® PS.

With the announced phase-out of graphical capacity planning, the tooling around SAP® PS is changing. Plaveo® Flow steps in here and complements the standard with three building blocks, in good time before the transition period ends.

01CM25 successor
Successor to capacity planning
SAP has discontinued the established graphical planning board around CM25, with a transition period until 2027 for RISE customers. Plaveo® Flow provides a modern, Fiori-based planning board in good time to carry this task forward within the standard.
02Editable
Editable Gantt chart
The standard's display-oriented project visualization shows how activities unfold over time. Plaveo® Flow complements it with a fully editable Gantt chart, where dates, durations and shifts can be adjusted directly.
03Multi-project
Multi-project view
Plaveo® Flow brings the multi-project Gantt chart into the SAP® PS context and consolidates the entire project portfolio into one graphical view. Capacity conflicts across project boundaries become visible.

CM25 Successor: When Graphical Capacity Planning Is Phased Out

SAP® has deprecated the classic graphical capacity planning boards (CM21 to CM25); RISE customers have a transition period until 2027. For everyone who has steered shop-floor and project manufacturing through these boards, this means: the familiar view disappears, the need remains. PLAVEO® Flow delivers a modern, Fiori-based planning board in time that takes over this task directly on SAP PS networks: as a clean-core add-on, without middleware.

Capacity planning in SAP PS, graphical instead of list-based. Every network activity creates capacity requirements at its work center. Flow turns them into a load profile on the timeline: per work center, you see when demand and supply diverge, across all projects, not order by order.

Resolve capacity conflicts where they arise. Overload at a bottleneck work center? Activities can be moved via drag & drop; Flow recalculates relationships and buffers and instantly shows what the move does to the critical path and end dates. Capacity conflicts can thus be resolved right where they are planned, before they endanger delivery dates.

Pre-assembly and assembly control in sequence. In project manufacturing, sequence decides everything: pre-assemblies must be complete before final assembly starts. Flow shows the chain from the first activity to delivery: with a work-center focus for supervisors and a project focus for project leads.

Frequently Asked Questions About PLAVEO® Flow

  1. What replaces graphical capacity planning (CM25) in S/4HANA?

SAP® has deprecated the classic graphical capacity planning boards (CM21 to CM25); RISE customers have a transition period until 2027. SAP points to Fiori-based successors; an equivalent graphical planning board for network-driven project manufacturing is currently not part of the standard. PLAVEO® Flow takes over this task: with a modern, Fiori-based planning board directly on SAP PS networks.

  2. How does capacity leveling work in the Gantt?

Flow displays the load profile of the affected work centers alongside the Gantt. Move an activity and its capacity requirement moves live with it; overloads and free slots become visible immediately.

  3. Does Flow plan across projects?

Yes. The multi-project view shows activities and capacity requirements of all projects on one timeline; conflicts between projects appear exactly where they compete for the same work center.

  4. Does Flow change my SAP data or a copy?

Flow works directly on the SAP data; there is no parallel planning database. Replanning starts in simulation mode: you move activities via drag & drop and level the load iteratively, without changing any data in the system yet. Only when the planning picture fits do you commit the dates as a whole; Flow writes the changes back to the networks and schedules the affected networks in SAP.
