Multi-Level Missing-Parts Analysis (MD4C) Directly in SAP® PS
The information on material availability exists in SAP®: the stock/requirements list (MD04) shows the situation per material, and the multi-level order report (MD4C) resolves the procurement structure across all levels. The MD4C runs at the level of the network header or the project definition: it reads all primary requirements of the selected network and resolves the production and procurement levels below them. What this report does not establish is the link to the individual network activity - the answer to which work step and which date a delay actually hits.
